Future energy leaders in Latvia is a competence strengthening program initiated by the Latvian National Committee of the World Energy Council.

Goal

The goal of the program is to build a bridge between existing and future energy leaders, to inspire young professionals from various fields to solve future energy challenges inform the public about the importance of energy strengthen Latvia's position and recognition in the world.

Young people under the age of 32 can apply for the program, proving their enthusiasm for solving future energy challenges. For this reason, the program invites young people from various fields (not only energy) who understand future energy needs from one point of view or another.

Energy provides the blood circulation of economic and social life, it is an integral cornerstone of development.

Sustainable, safe, diverse, competitive, accessible to everyone at any time, one that does not threaten natural resources and the environment?

This is exactly the type of energy that both climate scientists and the public are demanding more and more persistently, because the consumption of energy resources has the potential to make the greatest contribution to the sustainability of humanity and the entire planet.

Energy that meets modern needs can only be created by a passionate, knowledgeable, versatile team, which should be represented by specialists from various industries.

Undeniably, future energy depends on energy engineers and engineers, which develops technologies, but IT specialists and economists are also needed, environmental specialists, lawyers, communication specialists and policy makers, personnel and education specialists, as well as specialists in geopolitics, which will have to pave the way for global and regional energy cooperation.

Representatives of many other professions can also feel the call to participate in energy development.

Participation in international activities: FEL-100, cooperation with similar programs of national energy leaders of other countries (joint projects, exchange of experience).

The most active members are rewarded. At the end of the program, participants receive a certificate of participation with a description of the activities performed, a letter of recommendation from the Latvian National Committee of the World Energy Council.

The Latvian National Committee of the World Energy Council (PEP LNK) is the Latvian member committee of the World Energy Council.

PEP LNK organizes Latvia's participation in PEP activities, participates in international energy projects organized by PEP, as well as popularizes and distributes information about PEP.

How to become a future energy leader in Latvia?

If you are between 19 and 32 years old, you have at least 3 years of work or study experience in an energy-related field and you can prove your desire to work in the energy field, send your CV and motivation letter to info@nell.lv.

Those participants who are active and fulfill the conditions of the program can keep their place in the program for up to three years after the annual evaluation. Every year, new members are invited to join the NELL program to replace less active ones.

* Admission of participants takes place once a year, in autumn.
